Create ps3 themes software

We have a dedicated Theme section on the site specifically for uploading and browsing through hundreds of creations. Furthermore, all themes can be downloaded directly from the browser of your PS3 and then accessed from the PlayStation Theme folder located on your XMB.

The Themes will be judged based on how many downloads they receive and the winners will receive some great prizes. Hopefully before MGS4?

This is a great. Everyone that is reading this should make a theme for the Playstation Lifestyle theme contest. Noel, thanks for posting this up. Are there any plans to provide a GUI interface for the theme maker? This will help those that are more visually oriented.

There are some more user-friendly programs out there that you can purchase. Until we release an actual GUI-based official Theme generator, I thought that people out there might want a cheap and easy solution in the meantime! If you are gonna make a theme, might as well try your luck in the playstationlifestyle. I know some of the newer themes from Sony have sounds added to them, but I see nothing about sounds in this tutorial or in the xml file.

It is possible to add sounds to your Themes. However, adding sounds are a little complicated as they require using special audio files. Thanks for the suggestion! It is a awesome free software and it can do everything we need to do this, and instead of the other two cited it runs in our PS3 linux ;. Thanks for the info! Oh no, I can only imagine the god awful ugly nonsense that people are gonna mess up their XMB with.

Look what happened to MySpace…. I know somebody touched on it above, but a cool guy by the name of A. Just one question, do you guys plan on adding the ability to change the color of the font on the XMB?

I am still trying to create my themes for tripletags. If you find yourself making a bunch of different Themes each with a bunch of sub-icons! Hope this helps! One question Noel. To be more specific the name of them and maybe the little thumbnail avatar. Bender, check out PS3themecreator in google. It allows you to open themes and change them at will.

I would just ask the original creators first before doing it however. Download from: PS3-Themes. Download from: MediaFire.

This theme features animated Grand Theft Auto V official artwork as the background combined with custom icons. This theme comes with a stunning smoke effect and custom hand-made icons made by PS3 theme creator Murad Al-Balushi. The whole custom theme including icon colors and style, the background was inspired by the artwork of The Last Of Us. You can download it from deviantart. Download from: ps3-themes. The easiest way to download a theme onto your PS3 is by directly downloading it using the PS3 web browser.

To do this…. The above method only works if the downloaded file is. P3T and not zipped. If im right its still designed for 1. Looks good, but why do developers keep releasing New Themes which do not support the new icons on the XMB???

Hey ik00R The theme tool is only for compiling your theme but creating them can be done on either a PC or Mac :. Shame I totally suck at graphics stuff.

Look forward to a few new quality releases. Just keeps opening up command prompt very quickly then disappears! Hey Sully, Have you tried extracting the zip file? You will need to extract the zip file into a folder. Hope this helps, any problems give me a shout.

Hey everyone, Just to confirm with you the p3tcompiler. Once you have created all your assets you basically the XML file inside the folder and drag onto the p3tcompiler. Give me a shout if your having problems. Enjoy :D. What kind of PPI should be used for the backgrounds and icons? Nice stuff. Last time I used it some were missing. If you guys are pushing this, how about also allowing us to have an official site where they would be categorised and possible addition to the psstore?

Ive been creating themes for awhile now, but its gret to see someone from SCEE providing tips for other people to make their own themes. Would be great if SCEE had a webpage were users can upload their themes. This is not an application. You do not need to open the compiler tool You only use it at the end to compile your finished theme.

Nice Wael. Brilliant idea to open up the creation of themes…. I cannot wait to see what people come up with! Really nice post, one request though: Would it be possible to provide the exact positioning of the xmb relative to the background image? The basic image provided would be much more helpful if it specified exact positions as it does with the safe area one.
